The State of Mississippi
Lafayette County July 1846

In the name of God, I Jesse M. Redwine do make and
declare this my last will and testament in manner
and form Following. first I resign my soul in to
the hands of Almighty God, hoping and believing
in a remission of my sins. by the merits and medi
ation of Jesus Christ. and my body I commit to the
earth to be buried at discretion of my family and friends.
My worldly estate I give and devise as follows. First
I wish to see my just debts paid also I give and do
wish that my beloved wife has one bed and furniture
my sorrel 'horse' Dan and two hundred Dollars my daughter
Hulda ann one bed and furniture and one hundred and
fifty Dollars. My other five minor heirs each one hun
red and fifty dollars. My son William I wish to have
My watch and my other sorrel horse or twenty
dollars. Also I wish there are equal division made of
the remainder of my estate. among all of this I do
appoint H D Redwine and J A Redwine Executors I do from
this morn empower my executors to sell all my estate
real and personal at publik or private as they
may think best I do not wish any security req'd
of executors and I also wish my two Sons Willis
and Pierce one bed and bedstead and furniture. In
all things whereof I have unto Set my hand and seal.
